Solutions Collectables and Antiques was started some years ago by Jan Brand. As our name implies we sell collectables and antiques – porcelain, pottery, china, furniture and bric-a-brac - old and sometimes quite new. We specialise in Asian Antiques particularly Chinese and Japanese porcelain. However, we also search for ‘unusual’ items to offer for sale.

We are also providers of Airbags for packaging – we use these bags to ship our own items and thoroughly recommend them for use to protect fragile items as they are both light in weight a very effective.

A personal note from Jan:

Hi,

My love for anything that is either beautiful or very old dates back to when I was a child. My father used to attend auctions and purchased many unusual items to add to our collection at home. I went along with him and slowly I caught the collecting 'bug'.

I have turned a lifetime hobby into a business.

I work alongside my husband Tony, who is a retired police inspector. Tony helps me with research and he deals with the administration and the shipping side of my business. We both enjoy our work and hope that we provide a reliable service for our customers.

On a personal note, we have a large family and two very large dogs - one a wolf-hound/greyhound cross and one a deer-hound/german shepherd cross. They are loyal protectors and friends.
